ambient people is a new and independent recruitment company dedicated to finding and engaging people for local authorities and the wider public sector, with an initial focus on professionals in Finance and Programme and Change Management.

It is a world we know and love, and have been working with exclusively for the last 15 years.

Through that experience, we have come to learn what makes the sector special. Under tough circumstances from austerity to the pandemic, individuals across councils, the NHS, government departments and the broader public sector have served their communities with passion, skill and empathy.
